South Surrey’s new Shoppers Drug Mart is to celebrate its grand opening with giveaways and fun Jan. 29.

The free-standing, 18,500-sq.-ft. store – located on the Semiahmoo Shopping Centre property at 16 Avenue and 152 Street – is “the biggest and best that they build,” manager Keri Buxton said.

“They don’t build any better,” she said, describing top-of-the-line food and beauty departments.

The new store will open its doors Tuesday, Jan. 25, the day after the White Rock Shoppers Drug Mart – located across the street – closes for good.
