Renovation tips offered at seminar
Those homeowners thinking of undertaking a renovation project can get some free advice later this month, when the Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association hosts its annual spring renovation seminar.
The event is slated for Tuesday, May 17, from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Croation Cultural Centre in Vancouver (3250 Commercial Dr.).
The seminar will guide homeowners through various stages of the renovation process, from design and planning to dealing with permits, legalities and contracts, to selecting the right contractor for the job.
Admission is free, but pre-registration is required. Register online at www.gvhba.org or call 778-565-4288. Attendees are also asked to contribute one food item for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
