Mature models sought

Women 30 years of age and older are invited to participate in Pizzazz International’s fifth annual Mature Model Search and acquire or fine-tune their modelling skills.

The event – which is to raise money for those affected by cancer – includes a series of workshops, photo shoots, auditions and fashions shows that are held in search of finalists.

Workshops begin May 15 and 24, with tearoom fashion shows taking place at Newlands Golf and Country Club in Langley June 6. The annual Pizzazz Showcase will be held June 28 at South Surrey’s Pacific Inn Resort Hotel.

Contestants will be given updates on skin care, hair and makeup, taught by industry professionals and will learn the basics of runway, tearoom modelling, backstage etiquette and on-camera auditioning techniques. A photo shoot will be included with fashion photographer Doug Buchan.

Applications for the model search can be picked up from Pure Medical Clinic and Laser Spa, Aru Spa Salon, Malary’s, Horizon Vision, Roxann’s Hats and Pizzazz International at the Pacific Inn.
