Bear campaign launches

BC Liquor Stores welcomed the annual arrival of twin teddy bears last week, marking the launch of the Share a Bear campaign.

A tradition for more than 20 years, the Share a Bear program offers customers the opportunity to purchase the bears for $11 and then “share” one of them with a local charity.

This year, the plush caramel-and-chocolate bears are fraternal twins. Since 1989, approximately 400,000 bears have been shared through the program. Last year, more than 28,000 were donated to children and families in need through children’s charities, shelters and hospitals.

The bears may be purchased at any BC Liquor Store. For more information visit www.bcliquorstores.com/share-bear-program
