Tastebud fiesta opens White Rock's Marine Drive
A business that started nine years ago with a few crockpots and $10,000 is the newest to open on White Rock's Marine Drive.
The El Taco location, at 15565 Marine Dr., is the third restaurant for Gil Langevin and his daughter, Justine, who ventured into the business in 2004, 10 years after Justine fell in love with the country's culture, food and language while travelling with friends.
They first opened El Taco in Nelson, followed by a Vancouver location two years later.
According to eltaco.ca, the restaurant offers a menu "inspired by ingredients that have nourished people for thousands of years," with dietary options that include wheat- and dairy-free selections.
