Stepping out for kids
A South Surrey children's centre is gearing up to host its second ladies-night shopping fundraiser on Dec. 1.
The 2nd Annual Creative Kids Ladies Night Vendor Fair is to take place from 7-10 p.m. Saturday at 15350 34 Ave.
The evening is to feature vendors, door prizes and appetizers.
Organizers hope to raise at least $2,000. All proceeds will benefit the BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
Last year's event – dubbed Mom's Night Out – raised about $11,000.
It was organized in honour of White Rock tot, Gabrielle Ross, to help her and her family cope with the challenges of I-cell disease, the rare and incurable genetic disorder she was born with.
