Cinemazoo to host animal camp

Cinemazoo is holding its first-ever Animal Adventure Summer Day Camp for kids with special needs, who will learn about animals, care for animals, and develop emotional and intellectual connections with animals in a program specially developed for them.

The week-long summer camp in South Surrey will be taught by Ching Chen, a special-education educator trained as a behavioral interventionist working children with autism and ADHD.

The program is also being developed with the help of Robin Wiens, a special-needs assistant with 25 years’ experience who has been working at Cinemazoo as Nature Club leader and presenter.

Cinemazoo’s facilities (1395 176 St.) are wheelchair accessible.

There are two remaining camp weeks to choose from: July 29-Aug. 2, or Aug. 26-30.
