A new White Rock restaurant marked its grand opening this past weekend.

The Wooden Spoon Brunch and Bistro Co. held the opening at its Uptown White Rock location, 15171 Russell Ave., on Sunday, featuring speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Wayne Baldwin, as well as a traditional pig roast and complimentary food and entertainment.
