Dairy Queen locations in Surrey and White Rock will be “making miracles happen” by supporting children with illnesses through a donation campaign.

Miracle Treat Day will celebrate its 20th year tomorrow (Aug. 11), during the ice cream shop’s annual event to give back. Net proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating stories in South Surrey/White Rock will be donated to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“What’s raised local stays local, so every dollar donated from DQ stores will go directly to the local Canadian children’s hospital foundation in each community,” reads a Monday (Aug. 8) news release.

Last year, various children’s hospitals across the nation provided care to the country’s young ones, with a total of three-million visits, in-person and virtually combined.

Since 1984, Dairy Queen has worked with Children’s Miracle Network abd has raised $46 million in Canada.
