Big win for local resident
A 59-year-old White Rock resident is planning to spend his summers back east after netting a $500,000 Lotto win.
“I want to buy a summer cabin in Halifax,” Richard Barszczewski said in a release.
“I’m also going to set up a nice travel account for me and my wife.”
The retired RCMP officer matched all four numbers on the Feb. 25 Extra draw to earn the game’s top prize.
He purchased his lucky Quick Pick ticket at PriceSmart Foods in South Surrey.
