Water works
Local rotarian Clifford Grant is seeking donations in his effort to raise $15,000 for a water and sanitation project in Aba, Nigeria.
Grant started the project with two Rotary clubs in Aba, and the Rotary Club of White Rock has since shown its support by approving a $50,000 Rotary International Matching Grant.
Grant is looking to raise $15,000 for a water well feeding into new toilets, basins, urinals and showers for students at an all-boys school that has 600 students from Grades 7 to 12.
Donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt from the Rotary Club of White Rock.
Send cheques to Grant (104-1521 Blackwood St., White Rock, B.C., V4B 3V6) made out to Rotary Club of White Rock, with the subject line reading ‘The Nigeria Wilcox Secondary School Project.’
Ensure to include a return address.
