Red Serge on the beach

An RCMP tradition of spreading goodwill along the waterfront has returned to White Rock Beach.

Starting this month, Mounties in Red Serge will do foot patrols in full dress uniform on two Sundays of each of the summer months.

It’s an opportunity for residents and tourists to have their picture taken with a Mountie and interact with the local police force.

Weather permitting, an officer will be on the Promenade from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 19, July 3 and 17, Aug. 14 and 28 and Sept. 11.
