Surrey Foundation hands out community awards

The Surrey Foundation will be honouring its 2011 Community Award recipients, as well as individuals and organizations that have supported the non-profit society, at a ceremony Thursday.

Among those to be recognized July 28 are current fund holders, donors, and current and past directors and volunteers.

The ceremony will take place at Semiahmoo House Society, 15306 24 Ave., from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“We are honoured to take this opportunity to recognize the many friends of the Surrey Foundation who have supported us in a variety of ways over the years,” a release from the foundation states.

“We are also excited to recognize the 2011 Community Awards recipients by highlighting the incredible contributions that these organizations have made to our community of Surrey.”
