Former Vancouver Canuck Trevor Linden was in town last week, wining and dining with local residents at an Ocean Park home.

The intimate Sept. 8 dinner with the retired NHL star was an auction item from the Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation Gala on April 30.

It was purchased by Dale and Rita Gausman for $18,000, and included a seven-course meal catered by Pearl Urban Bistro; Penfold’s luxury wine was provided by Everything Wine.

Since it was first introduced as an auction item at the gala three years ago, the dinner with Linden has raised $48,500 for the foundation.
