Historical programs offered

Surrey Museum and Archives is hosting a series of presentations on the city’s history this fall.

Nov. 5 and 11, those interested in the city’s early one-room schools are invited to join local historian Jack Brown for a presentation. The 11 a.m. to noon event is open to those 16 years and older, and will take place at 17651 56 Ave.

For a sense of what life was like for Surrey residents during the Great Depression, Surrey Archives officials are hosting an hour-long presentation on Saturday, Nov. 12. Set for 11 a.m. to noon at 17651 56 Ave., the session is open to anyone 16 years and older.

To register for any of the programs, call the museum at 604-592-6956.
