Elgin Park Secondary students are gearing up to host the school’s seventh annual Community Christmas Dinner.

Food for the festive occasion, set for Dec. 14 at the 13484 24 Ave. school, will be prepared by the staff and students of the home economics department, teacher Michele Palmer said.

The aim is to reach out to those who might not have the means to afford a Christmas dinner, or lack nearby friends and family during the holiday season. Those who attend will enjoy a full turkey dinner and entertainment by Elgin Park students, all at no cost. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m.

To reserve, contact Palmer at 604-538-6678 by Dec. 7.
