RBC Foundation donates $15,000 to burn fund
The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund has received $15,000 from the RBC Foundation.
“We are so grateful that RBC Foundation has contributed these essential funds, the donation allows us to deliver our annual Burn Awareness Week (BAW) program," said Tim Baillie, chair of the BAW and a director of the burn fund. "This vital program teaches children in Grades K-7 how to be responsible for their personal safety through burn and fire safety games and videos.
"It also aids in increasing family awareness of potentially harmful situations.”
Jennifer Cabeldu, manager of donations for the foundation said funding education is one of RBC's top priorities.
“We are very proud to support the BC Burn Fund and Burn Awareness Week to ensure children and youth learn more about fire prevention,” she said.
