Semiahmoo Peninsula fundraiser to help Indianapolis man

A Semiahmoo Peninsula fundraiser will help make a difference hundreds of kilometres away.

Wendy Minichiello Coles will be hosting the Jan. 23 event at Sawbucks Neighbourhood Pub, 1626 152 St., for her friend and Indianapolis resident, Ben Snowden, 41, who was diagnosed with cancer of the brain and central nervous system.

The married father of two is currently paying $2,500 out of pocket to cover treatment.

Tickets for the event are $20 and include a beer, burger and fries. There will be a raffle, a silent auction and 50/50 draws.

The event kicks off at 6 p.m.
