Semi students asking community to vote

Semiahmoo Secondary students are urging their community to cast a ballot for their submission in the annual BC Green Games.

The South Surrey school is currently in second place for the People’s Choice category in the province-wide green video competition for students in kindergarten to Grade 12.

After the videos are evaluated, $1,000 in funding goes to the best video project, to be used towards their sustainability plans.

There is also a People’s Choice award of $500 for the video that gets the most votes.

Winners will be announced in April. Voting ends on March 30.

To vote for Semiahmoo, visit http://380234.tbits.me. To view the video, visit http://bit.ly/1gz9DjF
