Luncheon celebrating women set for October

Reservations are being accepted for CARP’s celebration luncheon in honour of Women’s History Month in October.

The luncheon and fashion show to be held at Morgan Creek Golf Course on Oct. 19 will also feature a panel of speakers followed by a question and answer period.

Speakers scheduled for the event are award-winning author Maggie de Vries, political activist and advocate Velvet Steele and Avalon Addiction Recovery Centres for Women co-founder Helen Burnham.

Partial proceeds will go to Avalon Recovery Centres.

Tickets ($50) must be purchased in advance.
