Enthusiasts flock to South Surrey bird walk

Terry Carr of Delta Nature led a dozen birding enthusiasts on a birdwatching walk at Blackie Spit Sunday (April 24), launching Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society's Birds on the Bay monthly bird walks.

Highlights of the morning excursion included horned grebes, common loons, purple martins and more.

The next walk is set for 9 a.m. May 29 at Mud Bay Park. To register, email register@birdsonthebay.ca
