The Sidney town clock, located in front of the downtown museum, was recently refreshed and refurbished by the town’s engineering staff.

On Saturday, April 27, the town held a re-dedication ceremony in which the town crier, Kenny Podmore, initiated the renewal by welcoming the crowd of a dozen people to the event with his official proclamation.

The clock was donated to the Town of Sidney by the Rotary Club in 2006 and it was specifically designed to blend in with the facade of the museum building.

According to a news release, Mayor Cliff McNeal-Smith thanked the Rotary Club for their work on the project and Rotary President Jack Gallop thanked the mayor for his “attention to the clock’s refresh and renewal,” and presented him with a club banner.
