Princess, princes celebrated

Annual White Rock Princess Party takes over Centennial Arena

A display of royalty was made at the Centennial Arena Saturday with 700 princesses, princes and their parents meeting for the eighth annual White Rock Princess Party.

The sold out event featured royal guests Cinderella and Prince Charming, Belle, Esla, Anna and Moana.

Children gathered at the foot of the stage to watch the fantasy characters come to life through a choreographed routine. The children also had the opportunity to decorate cookies, create crafts, and eat food served by White Rock fire fighters.

The event secured more than $36,500 for the White Rock Firefighters Charity Association’s efforts of building an all-abilities park in White Rock.

Event organizer Myra Merkal said the event was “absoultely incredible.”

Money is raised through a raffle, live auction, and donations.
