Holiday dinner on horizon

Ticket sales begin today for the Kent Street Annual Mistletoe Dinner, Dec. 1 at the Kent Street Activity Centre.

Come out and celebrate the season with some fantastic entertainment, and exciting door prizes.

Pick up your copy and discover all the exciting things happening this month at Kent Street and throughout White Rock. There’s no limit to all the activities that you can do.

Kent Street Choristers Christmas Concert: “Come All! Rejoice!” will be held Dec 9 at First United Church at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket sales start today, $12 (free for children under 12) at Kent Street.

This very popular seasonal event sells out quickly. Get your tickets soon, to avoid disappointment.

All the beginner computer classes are full for the season, but there is still room in the next level of courses including Creating Home Videos, Editing Photos, Word Processing and Simple Home Networking.

Our computer courses offer small class size and one student per workstation for optimal learning.

A valid White Rock Leisure Service Membership is required to participate in these courses.

Table Tennis is a very popular Kent Street activity group.

Players welcome Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mondays 4-6 p.m. and Wednesdays 2:45-4:15 p.m. Good, friendly, fun competition – we have paddles available, or bring your own.

With the wet weather upon us, are you finding it tough to get out and stay active?

A new Balance 65+ class is starting Nov. 29 for six weeks.

Class is held at CPLC Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11a.m. Call 604-541-2199 to register.

The Winter Farmers Market moves indoors Sunday, Nov. 7 at Kent Street Auditorium, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – 1475 Kent St.

Always a popular band, come and dance the night away – couples and singles welcome.

Doors open 7 p.m., with music playing from 7:30-10:30 p.m. and a light and tasty snack at 9 p.m. Great fun, great dancers.

Friday’s Fresh and Lively Luncheons are welcoming the Scottish Country Dancers this week, on Nov. 4.
