ALEX HOUSE: Strengthing ties to White Rock/Surrey communities

The essence of a neighbourhood house is hard to pin down.

Neighbourhood Houses are different from any other community or social service organization in that they exist for the community, and are of the community, strengthening  ties and providing needed services and resources which in turn, enrich the community.

A neighbourhood house is about grass-roots community capacity building, taking a “bottom up” approach, and providing the necessary tools to cultivate lasting relationships, improving access to resources.

Our long-term vision is to create vibrant communities, with neighbours supporting internally and community organizations supporting externally, all working together.

• Join us the first Wednesday of each month from 12-2 p.m. for a scrumptious three-course meal followed by activities and entertainment.

Please register by Friday March 30 at 604-535-0015 ext 236. Rides are available - contact us in advance to arrange.
