ALEX HOUSE: Christmas spirit alive and well at Camp Alexandra

It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas, and decorations will soon be adorning our newly transformed Longhouse.

This aging facility underwent a 72-hour extreme makeover, with support from Investors Group Financial Services and many other donors, sponsors and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make it happen.

This project has been a journey, and we were amazed and inspired to see how volunteers and neighbours pitched in so willingly, working alongside Investors Group to reach a common goal.

The Longhouse is now a heart-filled, beautiful space for people to gather, grow and build a spirit of community.

Kiwanis Christmas cakes are here.

Stop by the office and get yours before they’re all gone.

Cakes are $20 and every purchase helps to support local Kiwanis community-service projects.

Our youth workers have been busy with a monthly workshop series designed to help youth gain confidence and become more employment ready.

More workshops are coming up and we’re always looking for youth to join us.
