Motorists planning to head south this month are advised to expect delays at the Pacific Highway port due to construction.

Canada Border Services Agency said to resurface the traffic and commercial processing areas got underway last Friday and is scheduled to continue through June 1.

The work is to be done Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., according to a news release. Various lanes will be closed and may result in delays.

“Impact to the travelling public is expected to be minimal. Travellers and all commercial drivers should watch for personnel on site for instructions, as the clearance process has changed to accommodate the construction,” the release states.

“Travellers are also encouraged to enter Canada through nearby ports, including the Douglas port of entry.”
