Surrey woman kills mother in driveway accident

A woman was killed in her driveway Tuesday afternoon when her daughter struck her with a car.

At just after noon on Tuesday, a 36-year-old woman was pulling into her driveway in the 12700 block of 64 Avenue when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The Sports Utility Vehicle advanced into the garage, where the woman's 61-year-old mother was standing. The elder woman was killed in the accident.

The driver and her young son, who was in the car with her, were not physically harmed in the accident.

Police do not suspect alcohol, drugs or foul play.

The investigation continues.
