White Rock Museum set to re-open

White Rock Museum and Archives officials are gearing up to toast the official opening of the new facility Aug. 12.

And after support for a public-function liquor licence, they’ll be able to do it with something more than juice.

At city hall July 18, council gave unanimous support for the licence, which also applies to up to four exhibit launch events per year.

For the official opening, museum officials are planning an evening soiree for the Friday, with plans to serve alcohol on the plaza.

The Aug. 12 event will also feature the launch of the museum’s first official exhibit, Aliens Among Us, which is coming to White Rock from the Royal B.C. Museum in Victoria.
