Window warning

White Rock RCMP are reminding residents to not leave their doors and windows open or unlocked, following a spate of opportunistic break-ins this summer.

Const. Janelle Shoihet said statistics show there have been 24 incidents since June in which thieves have helped themselves to items left unsecured in area residences.

Shoihet advised residents to keep their doors and windows secure even while they are home. If they must be left open, install locks that prevent any unwelcome visitors from gaining entry.

Anyone needing information on home security may contact White Rock RCMP Community Policing at 778-593-3610
