Mountie charged with drunk driving
Const. Tina Roxanne Kerton, who crashed her car on Highway 1 near 160 Street earlier this year, has been charged with two counts, including driving while impaired and speeding.
Kerton, a seven-year RCMP officer, crashed her car on Jan. 15, 2012. She was off-duty at the time.
Kerton, who was posted with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit, appeared in Surrey Provincial Court on April 16 where the charges were sworn.
She has been placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of the charges. An RCMP code of conduct investigation has also been initiated.
She is due back in Surrey Provincial Court on April 30.
