Teen squabble turns bloody

An argument between two young teen girls at the Newton bus loop turned ugly this week when one of them pulled a knife and stabbed the other.

On Thursday at about 3:30 p.m., two girls, one 15 years old and another 16, got into an argument. Then the 16 year old pulled a knife and stabbed the younger one.

The injured teen ran into the Newton Wave pool for medical attention and was sent to hospital, was treated and released.

The two girls are known to each other and police have identified a suspect, but have not made an arrest.

Police want hear from anyone who witnessed the fight and or subsequent stabbing by calling 604-599-0502.
