Boy injured in Cloverdale bike park fall suffered concussion
A 13-year-old boy who was airlifted to Children's Hospital on Tuesday evening suffered a concussion after he fell over a 3 ft. ramp on his bike, hit his head, and wasn't wearing a helmet.
Surrey RCMP said the young man was taken by air ambulance as a precaution, at 4:30 p.m. He had been riding at Cloverdale Youth Park, in the skateboard park area.
The RCMP had no further update on his condition, as of 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, but police spokesperson Curtis Harling simply described it as an "unfortunate accident that occurred."
