SLIDESHOW: Peace relay comes to Peace Arch

Multinational participants in the The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run (formerly World Harmony Run) began their international torch relay on the B.C. mainland Monday at White Rock Pier.

For the first time in the 27-year history of the run, the team will carry a flaming torch along a 16,000 km North American route linking Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, part of an initiative that will see runners in more than 100 nations on six continents promoting friendship and global awareness.
