Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer is to return to the South Surrey-White Rock riding Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release, Scheer will be at Naturally Homegrown Foods LTD. (4945 184 St.) – home of Hardbite Chips – at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 5 with candidate Kerry-Lynne Findlay for a public event.

Scheer was last in the riding on Nov. 15, for a Conservative rally at the Pacific Inn to launch Findlay’s campaign.

Tuesday’s visit comes just three days after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s return visit. As Liberal leader, Trudeau visited White Rock for a public walkabout on Nov. 15, promoting Liberal candidate Gordie Hogg; this past Saturday, he was at Semiahmoo Secondary.

Later Tuesday evening, all seven candidates in the upcoming byelection are expected to be at the White Rock Community Centre, 15154 Russell Ave., for an all-candidates meeting hosted by the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce.

That meeting is set for 7-9 p.m.

The byelection – triggered by the resignation of former Conservative MP Dianne Watts, who is taking a run at leadership of the BC Liberals – takes place on Dec. 11.
