Candidates in next week’s byelection are to be at the White Rock Community Centre tonight, for the one and only public debate scheduled prior to the Dec. 11 vote.

Larry Colero (Green); Kerry-Lynne Findlay (Conservative); Gordie Hogg (Liberal); Michael Huenefeld (Progressive Canadian); Jonathan Silveira (NDP); Rod Taylor (Christian Heritage Party) and Donald Wilson (Libertarian) are vying for the South Surrey-White Rock seat that was left vacant by the September resignation of former Conservative MP Dianne Watts, who is vying for leadership of the BC Liberals.

Tonight’s meeting – to be moderated by Frank Bucholtz, a weekly columnist for Peace Arch News and former editor of both the Langley Times and Surrey Leader newspapers – is set for 7-9 p.m.

The community centre is located at 15154 Russell Ave.
