Surrey RCMP sent out a release Wednesday asking the public to help them find five prolific car thieves wanted on a variety of warrants.

They have since captured two of the men.

According to a release, police have found 30-year-old Aaron Goddard, who was wanted for failure to comply with a probation order, and 21-year-old Dakota Maloy, who was wanted on two counts of assault.

Police are still looking for:

  • Bryan McGrath, 34, is wanted on two counts of break and enter, five counts of breach of an undertaking or recognizance and theft under $5,000. He is described as six feet tall, 185 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.
  • Mitchell Coubrough, 29, is wanted on one count of break and enter, and mischief under $5,000. He is described as six feet tall, 141 pounds with brown eyes and hair.
  • Kelly Franceschini, 34, is wanted for possession of stolen property, possession of break and enter tools, five counts of breach of an undertaking or recognizance, and theft under $5,000. He is described as five feet eight inches tall, 160 pounds with brown eyes and hair.

“A small number of active criminals account for the majority of crimes,” says Corporal Scotty Schumann. “We want to continue the downward trend of auto theft that we are currently experiencing in the city. Focusing on those known to be prolific auto thieves will help us continue to reduce auto theft in the City of Surrey.”
