Allis Jean (nee Findlay) Grasdal

Passed away early Monday morning, February 27, 2006.

Jean was predeceased by her husband George Olaf Grasdal after 59 years of marriage and leaves her son George Allan.

Jean was born on her Grandfather's homestead, 20 miles north of Weyburn, Saskatchewan on January 1, 1915 to William Allan and Jennie Findlay.

Jean had one sister and one brother. Jean has lived in Weyburn, Rockcliff RCAF Station in Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver and White Rock.

Her occupation was Stenographer. On September 8, 1944, Jean married George Olaf Grasdal at Rockcliff Air Force Station, Ottawa.

They have one son, George Allan Grasdal.

Jean was a Charter Member of Saga Lodge.

She has held the offices of Outer Guard, Inner Guard, Assistant Marshall, Marshall and Trustee.

Other organizations Jean belonged to were United Commercial Travellers Auxiliary, RCAF Association and the Royal Canadian Legion.

Jean was a member of the Women's Division of The Royal Canadian Air Force from 1943 to 1945.

She was an Administration Clerk at Rockcliff Station in Ottawa. A hobby Jean enjoyed was knitting.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Arbor Chapel at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 - 72 Ave, Surrey, BC.
