ANNA MAY PIKE
September 29, 1915 - March 12, 2008
Our much loved Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend passed away quietly Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Anna was born in Quatsino, Vancouver Island, British Columbia only child of Evelyn May Leeson and Ben Leeson.
She was pre-deceased by husband John A. Pike and grandson Benjamin Pike.
Survived by son Rob (Nola) Pike, daughter Jo-Ann (Bob) Reimer, Granddaughters Tara Pike, Anika (Brook) Czajkowski, grandson Chris (Amanda) Tutti, step-grandsons Mike (Kerry) Reimer, Chris Reimer, great grandsons Ryan Czajkowski and Jack Czajkowski, step great granddaughter Hope Reimer.
Anna and Johnny lived in the Dunbar area of Vancouver for many years before retiring to their summer cottage at Roberts Creek. Many wonderful memories were made with the family's Summer time neighbors who became long time special friends. Mom was a member of Saint Mary's Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Hospital's Thrift Shop in Sechelt. She was also a member of Gibsons United Church and previously Dunbar Heights United Church in Vancouver.
Health issues brought Anna to live in South Surrey in 2002. Here she enjoyed her weekly bridge games at the Ocean Park Seniors' Drop-in Program. The last 2 years she has been well looked after at the Weatherby Pavilion, Peace Arch Hospital.
Anna will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by friends and family. A gentle soul has left our midst but our world is a better place for her life being lived. No service at this time.
