McNAIR, Archibald Matthew (Archie)

August 8, 1933 - March 1, 2017

Archie passed on peacefully in the early morning at PADH with family members by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richmond pioneers Max and Winnie McNair, and by his siblings and their spouses, Hugh and Sylvia, Betty and Bob, and Marjorie and Jim.

He is survived by his loving family, wife Pat, daughter Cathy and husband Mike Roze, son Jeff, granddaughter Delaney and Jeff's fiancé Natalie, in-laws Bob George and wife Carol, in-laws Susan Rehnby and husband Allen Wardell and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Archie could often be heard saying "Super Great!" He loved to chat, and was always interested in people's stories - triumphs, tragedies, and everyday lives. He was a "go to" guy who got things done, and was always there when you needed help. He was a farmer for many years, but also did some home building and renovation. He enjoyed water skiing, hunting and fishing, and was a 35 year member of Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club. In his golden years he enjoyed gardening (especially tomatoes), travel and socializing with family and friends. The family would like to thank Archie's long-time Doctor, Glen Anderson, and the staffs of PADH and RCH for their dedicated care.

A Celebration of Archie's Life will be conducted by his nephew Rev. Gary Paterson at noon on Friday, March 24 at Hazelmere Golf Club. In lieu of flowers donations to RCH Cardiac Care would be appreciated.
