MESSENGER, ARTHUR DUNBAR
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Arthur Dunbar Messenger on October 7, 2008. Art, who was affectionately known as Bumpa, is survived by his wife Eunice, son Chuck (Barb), daughters Mary (Jon) and Jenny (Brad) and five grandchildren Alexandra, Sam, Chrissy, Dylan and Jake. He will also be missed by his sister Georgie, his nieces, nephew, and many close friends. Art was born and raised in Vancouver and graduated from UBC. He was a dedicated teacher and area counselor for over 30 year with the Vancouver School Board. Art's joys in his life were his family and friends. He loved spending time at Point Roberts crabbing and fishing.The family wishes to thank the staff at Peach Arch Hospital, 6 North and Dr. Purkis for his many years of compassionate care.There will be no service at his request.
