WALL - Arthur (Art) of White Rock passed away peacefully in Peace Arch Hospital Monday November 27 in his 92nd year. Predeceaced by his sisters, Frances Douglas and Alice Rhodes. He leaves to mourn his passing, his devoted wife Florence of 60 years; his only brother Cecil in Edmonton; as well - 3 godchildren in Prince George; many nieces and Nephews, extended families and a multitude of dear friends. Art was born in McBride B.C. of his pioneer parents

William and Susanna Wall. Art served in the Canadian Navy and after his

discharge, he settled in Vancouver where he met and married Florence. They moved to White Rock in 1947 where they opened and operated the first self-serve food market in that area. Art joined the White Rock City Council in 1964. Serving for 10 years and ending that phase of his career as the mayor. Art was responsible for the organizing of the White Rock Elks Lodge. Elected as Charter Exalted Ruler, then serving as their treasurer for 14 years. A private family service will be held in the Gardens of Gethsemani Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice. Grateful thanks go to the wonderful and compassionate care given to Art by all the nurses on the 5th floor Gatu Unit - also to Dr. Deernsted and Dr. Gayton
