Beatrice Isobel Freeze

August 5, 2002

Beatrice Isobel Freeze (nee Anderson) died in her 93rd year of complications following surgery at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. on August 5, 2002.

The loved and loving wife of Don for 65 years, proud mother of Al and Rick , warm and thoughtful mother-in-law to Donna and Jieka, generous and caring grandmother of Geoff, Chris, Lori, Sean and Trevi and ever so pleased great grandmother of Brenna, Danielle, Danica, Macy and Madeline, Bea was also known for her kind and gracious manner to a wide circle of friends from the University of Alberta (graduated in 1933 as B.Sc., Pharmacy), from the war years, and from Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver Island and White Rock.

During the last thirty years she and Don travelled extensively at a leisurely pace touching all five continents, sampling their culture and charm, increasing their own tolerance and understanding. It was a good life, well spent. We were fortunate to have had her with us for so many years. She will be missed.

A memorial reception to celebrate Bea's life was held on Friday, August 9, at 3:00 p.m. at Victory Memorial Funeral Center, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, B.C.

If friends so desire, a memorial contribution can be made to the Surrey-White Rock Bursary Foundation, P.O. Box 75143, White Rock, B.C. V4B 5L3.
