PHILLIPS (nee Kane) – Bernadette, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Etta. After a courageous struggle with cancer she passed away on October 29, 2007, surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Edward; brother George (Fionnuala), daughter Deirdre (David); sons Brian (Margaret) and Don (Jennifer); grandchildren Melissa, Evadne, and Bianca; and many other relatives and friends. Etta was born on February 11, 1927, in Dublin, Ireland, and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Etta devoted her life to caring for her family and providing a loving home. She touched and was loved by all who knew her. We will never forget her and she will be in our hearts forever. Prayer service will be held on Friday, November 2, 1pm at the Gardens of Gethsemani chapel, 15800 - 32nd Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to InspireHealth (www.inspirehealth.ca) or the BC Cancer Agency.
