ZAITZ, Bill

December 29, 1919 - June 15, 2006

It is with great sadness of heart that we announce that Bill Zaitz has passed away in the caring presence of his loving wife and partner of twenty-five years, Ingrid.

Also present were his stepdaughter Andrea and her husband Ivan; his stepdaughter Tina and her husband Dave. Bill will sorely be missed by his beloved grandsons; Benjamin and Samuel. Present in spirit were his stepson Jeffrey and his wife Jacqueline and our treasured grandchildren

Cheyelle and Foster, living in Ontario. Bill will also be mourned in Sudbury by his daughter Barbara; his brother Tom and wife Opal and his brother Joe. In Germany he will be missed by his brother-in-law Reinhold.

Bill was born in Sudbury, Ontario, where he started his life-long love of doing business, when at the age of twelve, with one bucket of water, he started "Universal Carwash"; from that tiny spark he grew into one of Sudbury's most well known and respected businessmen, creating "Zaitz Paving'. Many Sudburians, who did not know him personally, always had fun when the Midway came to town as it was on Bill's land.

Because of his business success he retired at an early age and spent many of his years enjoying Arizona; travelling to Germany and Hawaii; and then settling down to enjoy his life in White Rock, BC with his wife Ingrid. Together they shared a love of Hawaii and all things Hawaiian.

This space is simply too small to sum up his full life.

After having been wonderfully cared for, for two years, by the compassionate staff of 'Evergreen Baptist Care Society', Bill said his last "Aloha".

To the outstanding staff, Ingrid would like to say a heartfelt 'Thank You'. While he was living there, one of Bill's favorite things was attending weekly church services, where he met Pastor Gordon, who's presence Bill greatly enjoyed, and who will be officiating a small service for close family at Victory Gardens.

We hope that Bill now finds rest and peace in God's loving arms -

but we miss him dearly.
