LECOMTE: Christina (nee Simon) - Born October 21, 1917 at Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan. Christina passed away peacefully at Kinsmen Place Lodge on February 10, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband Oliver in 1980. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jean (Bob) Elder of Surrey; her son Gary (Jean Robinson) of Hedley, B.C., 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Married in Bonnyville Alberta in 1939, the newlyweds soon moved to Burnaby BC and lived on Imperial Street for many years, where the sign "A.O. Lecomte, Watchmaker" hung to the left of the front door. Both enjoyed their jewelry store business in Coquitlam until retiring to Cranley Place Park in South Surrey in 1976. Christina resided there quietly until late 2000. Thanks to all staff at Kinsmen Place Lodge and special thanks to those on the 5th floor who cared for her with love and kindness in her time with them. There will be no service by Christina's request.
