Denis Charles Henry Cox

April 28, 2006

April 25, 1920 - April 28, 2006

After a lengthy heart related illness, our beloved husband and father passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born and raised in London, England.

As a young, skillful engineer, Charles participated in the defense of Britain during World War II.

Following the war, he worked 20 years for the British Motor Corporation and after that joined Black & Decker where he worked as a research and development engineer for 21 years, until his retirement in 1985.

During his time with Black & Decker, he enjoyed working in England, Germany, France and Switzerland. He met his wife, Dagmar in Germany and his three children Peter, Evelyn and Michael were born in France.

Upon his retirement, the family moved to Vancouver where he enjoyed boating and traveling.

Charles always enjoyed a good discussion with his friends.

His charm and quick wit put people at ease.

Apart from his wife and children, he leaves behind his brother David and family.

A special thanks to Viktoryia, Dr. Lebl, Dr. Friesen and the staff at PAH Palliative Care for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
