Diane passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on March 2, 2003 at the age of 57, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Diane is survived by her loving family, husband Vern, daughter Trisha (Kelley), son Richard (Roberta), granddaughter Justine, mother Kay, sisters Vicki (Ken), Carol (Lou), brother Jim, nieces Natasha (Dan) and Nicole.

Diane spent the last 10+ years as a teaching assistant in the Delta School District. She was highly regarded by both teachers and students and made many friends along the way. Diane was always putting everyone first, even in the final days of her life. She loved her family and friends, as they were a great source of love and inspiration to her. Diane was the life of the party and will always be remembered for her great sense of humor as well as for her outgoing personality. Diane also loved spending time outdoors especially walking with friends along the dykes of the Nicomekl River. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her granddaughter Justine, playing, laughing and baking. Diane will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Ave., Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation at 15521 Russell Ave., White Rock, B.C. V4B 2R4 would be greatly appreciated.
