PERKIN, DOROTHY HILLIARD
Dorothy was born April 5, 1917 in Calgary to Margaret (Bain) and Tom Browne. She died peacefully in Victoria on October 24, 2006.
Dorothy graduated in nursing from Royal Columbian Hospital in 1940. She married Leslie in 1941 and his career in the Canadian Airforce took them to communities across Canada. Dorothy was a kind and gentle lady and a wonderful pianist. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Leslie, in 1975; her daughter, Barbara, in 1992; and her brother, Gordon, in 2003. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Ron (Susan) and their children Kathleen, Douglas and Beth; Barbara's children, Tracey, Jim (Chris) and Twila and their families; sisters Helen and Audrey (Fred) and their families.
A service of remembrance and celebration will be held on November 25 at 2:00 PM, Crescent United Church, 2756 127th St., Surrey. Reception to follow.
