Dorothy NYMAN

July 12, 2008

NYMAN, Dorothy(nee Mason) of White Rock BC - former long time Rossland resident.

Dorothy was born February 5, 1927 in Nottingham England. She died suddenly but peacefully Saturday, July 12, 2008 at her daughter's summer home at East Barrier Lake BC.

Dorothy immigrated in 1927 to Canada with her parents and brother.

They settled in Rossland where Dorothy met and married Clyde Nyman in 1948.

Together they raised 4 children. Dorothy worked for the Bank of Montreal for 32 years starting out as a teller and at retirement as the Bank Manager

of the Rossland branch.

Dorothy was a true nature lover - she enjoyed gardening, travelling and all

animals. She loved to take long walks at her cabin at Kootenay lake with the family dogs.

Dorothy moved to White Rock nine years ago, and enjoyed spending time with her family and the many new friends she made there. She loved to attend concerts, spend countless hours at the beach and visit the many restaurants in the area. Dorothy had a knack for finding 4 leaf clovers where no one thought they existed. As a matter of fact she found a six leaf clover just a few weeks ago.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her son Randy of Vancouver, daughter Marla (Tom) Muldoon, grandchildren Christopher of

Calgary, Matthew and Alex of White Rock, daughter Willa (Peter) Johnson,

grandchildren Tyler, Brocklen and Kayla of Rossland.

She was predeceased by her parents Sam and Alice Mason, brother Gordon

Mason, son Kelly, granddaughter Faith, and her husband Clyde.

A service will be held on

Monday July 21, 2008, 2:00pm at

Victory Memorial Park,

14831 28th Ave, Surrey B.C.

Donations in Dorothy's memory to the White Rock South Surrey Community Foundation would be appreciated.
